Carolina's research interests are centred in kinetics and dynamics of reactions between chemical species build up of oxygen and hydrogen atoms relevant to atmospheric chemistry and combustion.

She has a general interest in Potential Energy Surfaces including long-range interactions and the role of these forces in the dynamics of the reaction at low temperatures. 

The dynamical studies are carried out using both classical and quantum dynamics. The inclusion of quantum effects in classical trajectories is also a topic of interest.
